Welcome To Turriff Cricket Club

We are a friendly little club looking for players of any ability both male/female aged 16 and over for the Senior Team. We are also looking for players both male/female with any ability aged from 5 to 16 to play in our Junior Team(s).
The Senior Team will be playing in the Aberdeenshire Grade 3 league this year against a wide range of teams from all over Aberdeenshire. With the Junior Team(s) we are hoping to get them involved in numerous Cricket Festivals through out Aberdeenshire also.

The Cricket Festival held in the Haughs on the 19th May was a great success with 150 Children enjoying a good fun day of Cricket and Turriff CC would like to thank all the schools for participating in it. Turriff would also like to thank Kevin Davis and his team for all their hard work in leading up to this event and during the day. We look forward to seeing some of the children who participated, coming to Junior Club training nights, which will start on Wednesday 10th June 2009 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the Haughs in Turriff.

  • New Guidance on wearing of helmets for young players (under 18 years old)
    ECB have announced that changes have been made to the guidance on young players wearing helmets.
Two changes are to be implemented for 2009 season.
1) Young wicket keepers will be allowed to wear a face mask if they wish to do so or continue to use a helmet as they are currently required to do.
2) Parental consent not to wear a helmet is now no longer allowed and all Under 18 players must wear a helmet when batting.
